Biography:
Dr. Kyusuk You is an Agricultural Engineer at the USDA-ARS Application Technology Research Unit (ATRU). His research focuses on developing robotics and automation solutions for controlled environment agriculture, with a particular emphasis on autonomous driving systems, robot manipulation, and specialized end-effectors.
Prior to his role at the USDA, he served as the lead agricultural engineer at Yamaha Motors, where he played a key role in advancing Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and Unmanned Aircraft Sprayers (UAS) for applications in vineyards, orchards, and almond groves. With over a decade of experience managing collaborative projects with industry and research partners, Dr. You is a recognized expert in agricultural automation.
