Join the Ohio Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (OHCEAC) for our 2nd Greenhouse Tomato Academy!
The Ohio Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (OHCEAC) offers a comprehensive opportunity to learn Dutch-style high wire tomato production under controlled environments. Online lectures will be held over 4 weeks, followed by an optional two-day hands-on greenhouse training.
Students will learn to:
- Develop comprehensive understanding of greenhouse tomato production physiology
- Become familiar with technologies and practices of greenhouse tomato crop production
- Integrate plant basic horticultural scientific principles into better understanding of greenhouse tomato production systems and technologies

Greenhouse Tomato Academy Online Lectures (Live or Recording)
Drs. Jason Hollick, Chieri Kubota, and Mark Kroggel will provide a 4 week-long, comprehensive online course to learn key topics, including tomato crop physiology, grafting propagation, crop management, integrated pest/disease management, fruit harvest/quality analysis, balancing vegetative vs. generative crop status, sensor & climate control with PRIVA, irrigation management, nutrient solution design and recirculation. This will be a great opportunity to acquire knowledge in either synchronous format with live lectures and discussion or asynchronous format with lecture recordings. All students will have access to all recordings and learning materials until the end of December. Live lectures are scheduled at the following dates and times:

This 2-full day hands-on training offers all the keys to everything about Dutch-style high-wire tomato production and climate/crop management in greenhouse. All students who take this training must complete the online lectures (Nov 6 – Dec 1). Greenhouse activities include crop management, irrigation and nutrient management, grafting propagation, fruit harvest and quality analysis, crop registration, sensor management, data interpretations and more in a Dutch-style high-wire greenhouse setting!
Limited seats are available (Max 20). Enrollment in the online course is required to participate in the hands-on training.

Option 2 – Online + Hands-On Training
- 4-week online lectures with additional 2-day hands-on training in Columbus, OH: $1,500 per person (includes lunches & refreshments)
