The Ohio Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (OHCEAC) is proud to offer Greenhouse Tomato Academy (GHTA), a comprehensive opportunity to learn Dutch-style high wire tomato production under controlled environments. The course will be delivered over seven weeks (June 4–July 16), followed by an optional two-day, hands-on greenhouse training (August 10–11). This 7-week, comprehensive, online course features asynchronous (recorded) lectures to provide maximum flexibility, allowing participants to learn at their own pace. This course focuses on key topics including tomato crop physiology, grafting propagation, crop management, integrated pest/disease management, fruit harvest/quality analysis, balancing vegetative vs. generative crop status, sensor & climate control with PRIVA, irrigation management, nutrient solution design and recirculation.

Academy Course Fees (2 Options)

Option 1 – Online Only

Option 2 – Online + Hands-On Training

  • 7-week online lecture series with an additional 2-day hands-on training in Columbus, OH: $1,500 per person (includes lunch and refreshments)
